Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- Topping
- 2 tablespoons of cream
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- Add 1 1/4 cups of cream and mix until just moistened.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 3/4 inch thick round.
- Cut out 8 rounds. Brush tops with cream and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
